Giving Awareness Month

October is Giving Awareness Month at Holy Rosary Church. The generosity and giving spirit of the Holy Rosary community is what differentiates us from other churches in the area. During this month, we ask all parishioners to prayerfully consider their level of financial support for our church funds. These funds allow our parish to provide services to the needy, to afford opportunities for deserving children to receive a Catholic education, and to maintain the church facilities.

During this time, we also ask you to consider enrolling in Online Giving.  This is a convenient tool for you to contribute weekly offertory and donations to our service funds. This option allows you to easily setup recurring weekly or monthly contributions which saves you time.

The Good Samaritan League seeks to bring the corporal works of mercy to life with the parish. It serves as an umbrella organization for the charitable outreach of Holy Rosary. One of its primary functions is to help coordinate the collection and distribution of food to needy members of the parish as well as families that live within the parish boundaries.

The Legacy Fund enables families who could not otherwise afford the tuition for a Catholic education to receive financial support to attend Holy Rosary School.  The fund has been built and maintained primarily by the generosity of our parishioners.  Each year numerous deserving families receive financial aid from this fund to afford their children the opportunity to grow their knowledge and faith at our parish school. This fund also helps promote Catholic education in the Parish and in the community.

The Plant Maintenance Fund provides the means for capital improvements to the campus infrastructure and church facilities.  It helps fund repairs around campus along with purchases required to replace outdated materials, appliances, hardware, and other necessities.  Money from this fund support projects such as the upcoming church roof replacement.

Holy Rosary St. Vincent De Paul Society responds to the needs of those in the community, particularly within conference boundaries, without regard to race, color or creed. It endeavors to meet whatever short term needs exist, such as food, utilities, rent, and medicines. The Society sponsors a Thanksgiving and a Christmas Food Drive along with an Angel Tree which provides gifts for children of each family being given a Christmas Food Basket. The Angel Tree also provides gifts for persons living at St. Peter Villa. St. Vincent De Paul of Holy Rosary has an ongoing collection of non-perishable foods which is distributed to needy families seeking our assistance.
